Why I Love My EV

Ever wonder if owning an Electric Vehicle is for you? Join us on Thursday, October 1 at 5:30 pm for “Why I Love My EV”, a gathering of folks who drive an Electric Vehicle (EV) and folks exploring the idea of getting one. This event will be held at E13119 State Road 33 (the home of David Wernecke and Judy Spring).

The event will kick off with a potluck dinner. The main dish and tableware will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass and your own beverage to drink. After dinner, local EV owners Barry Hartup, Keith and Lisa Kahlow, Dave Kinzer, Jerry Jackson, and Mike Refsland will talk about the realities of purchasing, owning, maintaining, and managing travel with an EV.

"To significantly reduce future greenhouse gas emissions in Wisconsin, changing how we get places is going to be really important,” said Marianne Cotter, co-president of Powered Up Baraboo (PUB), the local climate action nonprofit sponsoring this event. “Not everyone can choose to buy an EV today; but for those who are considering it, this is a great opportunity to learn from people who have made that choice."

Guests will also learn about how to get involved in current Powered Up Baraboo projects. For more information about Powered Up Baraboo and upcoming events, visit poweredupbaraboo.org or find PUB on Facebook and Instagram.
